Year Of Study: 2018

Title Of The Study: Gamma Oryzanol Treats Obesity-Induced Kidney Injuries By Modulating The Adiponectin Receptor 2/PPAR-Α Axis/ Artur Junio Togneri Ferron, Fabiana Kurokawa Hasimoto, Pedro Henrique Rizzi Alves, Jéssica Leite Garcia, Klinsmann Carolo Dos Santos , Fernando Moreto, Vanessa Dos Santos Silva , Ana Lúcia A. Ferreira, Igor Otávio Minatel, And Camila Renata Corrêa / Hindawi Oxidative Medicine And Cellular Longevity

The results of this study confirm that Gamma Oryzanol is able to modulate PPAR-α expression, inflammation and oxidative stress pathways improving obesity-induced renal disease.

Title Of The Study: Impact Of Brown Rice-Specific Γ-Oryzanol On Epigenetic Modulation Of Dopamine D2 Receptors In Brain Striatum In High-Fat-Diet-Induced Obesity In Mice / Chisayo Kozuka, Tadashi Kaname, Chigusa Shimizu-Okabe, Chitoshi Takayama, Masato Tsutsui, Masayuki Matsushita, Keiko Abe, Hiroaki Masuzaki / Diabetologia

This study demonstrated that Gamma Oryzanol ameliorates high fat diet-induced DNA hypermethlation of the promoter region of dopamine D2 receptor in the striatum, a pivotal regulator of the brain reward system, resulting in hedonic overeating. This study highlights Gamma Oryzanol as a promising antiobesity substance with the distinct property of being a novel epigenetic modulator.

Title Of The Study: Effects Of Ferulic Acid And Γ-Oryzanol On High-Fat And High-Fructose Diet-Induced Metabolic Syndrome In Rats / Ou Wang, Jia Liu, Qian Cheng, Xiaoxuan Guo, Yong Wang, Liang Zhao, Feng Zhou, Baoping Ji / Plos One

This study investigates the effects of Gamma Oryzanol on alleviating high-fat and high-fructose diet (HFFD) -induced metabolic syndrome parameters. From the findings of this study, it was concluded that Gamma Oryzanol is effective in alleviating HFFD-induced obesity, hyperlipidemia, hyperglycemia, hepatic injury and insulin resistance. Thus Gamma Oryzanol could be used as a dietary supplement to alleviate the deleterious effects of HFFD.
