Title Of The Study: Gamma-Oryzanol-Rich Black Rice Bran Extract Enhances The Innate Immune Response / Soon Young Shin, Heon-Woong Kim, Hwan-Hee Jang, Yu-Jin Hwang, Jeong-Sook Choe, Yoongho Lim, Jung-Bong Kim, And Young Han Lee /Journal Of Medicinal Food
This study showed that Gamma Oryzanol increases the expression of CD14 and Toll-like receptor 4 and enhances the phagocytic activity of RAW264.7 macrophages. Furthermore, Gamma Oryzanol promoted the secretion of innate cytokines, interleukin-8, and CCL2, which facilitate phagocytosis by RAW264.7 cells. These findings suggest that γ-oryzanol enhances innate immune responses.
